Embark: Ferry Art 2008 - Ellie Williams

from 01/08/2008 until 31/08/2008.

Embark: Ferry Art 2008 offers show four show of the season featuring paintings by artist Ellie Williams, the exhibition 'Clay' runs throughout August on the King Harry Ferry, a project curated and organised by CAN (Cornwall Artist Network).

Williams states that 'Clay Projects has helped 'to inspire my fascination with this seemingly austere and vacant environment and has fuelled a body of painting and object making that continues to develop, with drawing as an essential part of my practice. The immediacy yet flexibility of mark-making through drawing serve as a tool for both understanding and expression whilst energy and spontaneity often spark the evolution of ideas.'

The monthly shows on-board the King Harry Ferry are accompanied by a series of postcards available on Fal River Links services. Future shows will feature works by artists; Lise Hovesen & Temujin Doran, Jamie Boyd and Kim Pilgrim.
