While you're staying at one of the King Harry Cottages we can make arrangements for you to hire your own boat from a local boat hire centre - they can even deliver your boat to you! You can sail around the tankers and yachts moored in the deep estuary as you head towards Truro and Malpas. Or you could sail towards Falmouth Bay and Harbour, the third deepest natural harbour in the world, where the sailing is fun and safe. You could even stop for lunch and a pint at either the Smugglers Cottage and see one of the D-Day launch sites, or take a trip to Restronguet Creek and visit the 13th Century Pandora Inn.
Hiring a boat also gives you a chance to get closer to the local wildlife, the woods that overhang and line the creek, the herons and egrets fishing on the water's edge and you may even be lucky enough to see one of the seals that visit the King Harry Ferry regularly.

know when you make your booking if you'd like to hire a boat during your stay. If you plan on bringing your own boat on holiday with you we can offer you a mooring on the river close to your cottage.
